Energy and Utilities Email Lists
Energy is a broad market: solar installers, renewable developers, utilities, oil and gas companies, mining operations and the contractors around them. They buy equipment, software, financing, insurance, staffing and marketing, and at small and mid-sized companies the owner or a senior manager usually makes the call.
Voyager DB holds deep data across energy and utilities, with filters for location, size, revenue, technologies and more. Equipment suppliers, software vendors, lead generation agencies, financing partners and recruiters use Coldlytics to find the companies that fit and reveal verified contacts for the people who decide.
Below is one real search, solar installers around Denver, with real numbers. The same steps work for the other segments on this page, including utilities, oil and gas, and mining: swap the category and location.
How to Build an Energy Email List in Voyager
Here is a real search we ran in the Coldlytics dashboard in October 2026. The goal: solar installation companies around Denver, Colorado. We used the Companies tab and did not widen any filter along the way.
1Step 1: Run a specific search in Voyager DB
Open Voyager DB on the Companies tab. Under Categories, include Solar Installation, part of the Home Services & Trades group.

Next, open Location and add Denver, CO, USA with a 40 mile radius, which also takes in Aurora, Lakewood, Centennial and Boulder. With two filters applied, the search shows 203 companies: solar installers, plus roofing and electrical contractors that also install solar.

2Step 2: Instantly reveal contacts and tag them
Click Reveal Contacts. We left Seniority and Department open and kept one contact per company. The database could instantly cover 66 of the 203 companies, with 66 contacts and 9 direct dials available (we left the dials out). We kept How many contacts at 66 and created the tag Solar Denver.
The cost shows before you click: up to 66 credits. Fourteen contacts were already verified for deliverability, and the other 52 would be checked live at reveal time.

3Step 3: Check what was delivered and what it cost
59 verified emails were delivered for 59 credits, plus 1 catch-all email at no charge. Six contacts failed live verification and were not delivered or charged.

4Step 4: Send the shortfall to Contact Research
137 of the 203 companies in our Denver solar search had no instantly revealable contact yet. For those, Contact Research finds owners or operations leads for you, priced per contact found.
Click Find more in the reveal summary. That opens Contact Research with your search already filled in. In Targeting, choose the Key Decision Makers seniority and, if you like, specific job titles. You can also tick Find new companies beyond my search results and set the location and industry, so our team keeps sourcing companies that match when a smaller market runs thin. The screenshots below are from our construction search, but the steps are the same.

In Deliver, choose the data points you need and add any notes for the research team. The footer shows the cost before you launch, at 5 credits per researched contact.

When you are happy, click Launch Task. Researched contacts are delivered to your dashboard, usually within 24 hours on business days.
5Step 5: Find your list in Contacts and export it
Everything you reveal or research lands in Contacts. Filter Contacts by Solar Denver and all 60 people are there: owners, presidents, CEOs and operations leaders (emails and direct dials are blurred in this screenshot).

Then click Export All to Download as CSV or send the list straight to HubSpot or Instantly.
Prefer to search people directly? Use the People tab
You do not have to start from companies. Switch to the People tab and filter on person-level fields such as Job Title, Department, Seniority, Contacts per Company and Contact Data (for example, only people with a direct dial or LinkedIn profile).
With the same Solar Installation and Denver filters, plus Owners/Founders and Directors & Executives under Seniority, the People tab shows 67 people, each with their job title and company, and you can reveal emails and direct dials right from the table.

That way you can see exactly who you will reach before you reveal anyone.

Energy, Utilities and Mining Segments
Mining Email List
Mining and quarrying companies are operations heavy and safety focused, so operations, safety and procurement leaders are worth adding as Job Titles alongside owners. A state filter helps, since activity is concentrated in a handful of regions.
Renewable Energy Email List
Solar installers, wind and storage companies are growing quickly and often founder led. They buy lead gen, software, equipment and financing partnerships. Date Established finds newer installers, and a metro radius is useful for residential solar.
Utilities Email List
Utilities, co-ops and municipal providers buy formally, so Directors & Executives and department heads such as operations, IT or customer service are better than owners. A state filter keeps the list aligned to the service territory you care about.
Petroleum and Coal Email List
Oil, gas and coal businesses include producers, service companies and fuel distributors. Operations managers, owners and procurement leads are the usual contacts. Revenue separates small service firms from larger producers.
Electric Utilities and Power Email List
Power generation and electrical utility contractors care about reliability, compliance and skilled labor. Target operations and engineering leaders, and use Headcount to focus on contractors rather than the largest utilities.
Forestry Email List
Logging, timber and forestry services are often family owned businesses with 5 to 50 staff. Owners are the decision makers for equipment, insurance and fuel. A state or regional filter works best, since the industry follows timberland.
