Apollo.io Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What Small-Business Sellers Actually Pay
Apollo.io pricing for 2026: every plan, what a credit buys, the real cost per email and phone number, and when a Main Street database makes more sense.

Apollo's pricing page shows four plans and a big "Save 24%" toggle. That's the easy part.
The number that actually decides your bill is how many credits each contact burns, and how many seats you're paying for.
I've been through Apollo's pricing page, its credits page and its help docs (all checked on October 13, 2026) so you don't have to. Below you'll find every plan, what a credit really buys, the cost per email and per phone number, and the cases where Apollo is a great deal and where it isn't.
Apollo.io pricing at a glance (2026)
Here's what Apollo's pricing page showed on October 13, 2026. Prices are per seat, in USD, and exclude tax.
| Plan | Annual billing | Monthly billing | Credits included | Record selection limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 75 per seat per month (900 a year) | 25 |
| Basic | $49 per seat per month | $65 per seat per month | 30,000 per seat per year (annual), 2,500 per seat per month (monthly) | 1,000 |
| Professional | $79 per seat per month | $99 per seat per month | 48,000 per seat per year (annual), 4,000 per seat per month (monthly) | 2,500 |
| Organization | $119 per seat per month, minimum 3 seats | Annual only | 72,000 per seat per year | 10,000 |
A few things worth knowing before you pick one:
- Annual credits arrive up front. On annual plans, Apollo grants the full year's credits at the start of the cycle. On monthly plans, you get the month's allocation at the start of each month.
- Basic and Free cap sending. Both are limited to 250 emails a day and 1 mailbox per user. Professional and Organization have unlimited daily sends.
- Add-ons cost extra. The Inbound add-on starts at $119 per team per month and the Advanced Dialer is $119 per team per month, both billed annually.
- No mixing plans. Apollo's FAQ is clear: "All seats on an Apollo account are on the same plan." If one rep needs Professional, everyone pays for Professional.
How Apollo credits work
Credits are the real currency. Apollo's credits page spells out the two numbers that matter:
| Data | Apollo credit cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 credit | Personal, business or both. Never more than 1 credit per contact. | |
| Phone number | 8 credits | Mobile, direct or office extension. Charged once per contact, even if several numbers come back. |
| Email plus phone | 9 credits | The figure to plan around if you call as well as email. |
Credits also pay for things like waterfall enrichment, AI research and email warmup, depending on your plan.
Three rules catch people out:
- Credits expire. "Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not carry over." That includes add-on credits you bought.
- Credits are pooled across the team. Admins can set per-user caps, which you'll want if you have a heavy user.
- Bounce refunds have conditions. Apollo refunds credits for a verified email that bounces, but only if you sent it from inside Apollo within 30 days. There are no refunds on mobile numbers.
What Apollo really costs per contact
Divide the plan price by the credits and you get the cost per credit. Here's the math on the published numbers.
| Plan and billing | Cost per credit | Email only | Email plus phone (9 credits) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic, monthly ($65 / 2,500) | 2.6¢ | 2.6¢ | 23.4¢ |
| Professional, monthly ($99 / 4,000) | about 2.5¢ | about 2.5¢ | about 22.3¢ |
| Basic, annual ($588 / 30,000) | about 2¢ | about 2¢ | about 17.6¢ |
| Professional, annual ($948 / 48,000) | about 2¢ | about 2¢ | about 17.8¢ |
That's cheap, and it's honest to say so. If you use every credit, on contacts Apollo actually covers, the per-email price is hard to beat.
The two "ifs" are where the real cost hides:
- Unused credits. If a seat only uses half its credits in a month, your real cost per email doubles. Nothing rolls over.
- Coverage. A credit only buys something if the contact is in the database. Apollo advertises 240M contacts and 30M companies, and its strength is tech, SaaS and mid-market. For a pest-control company in Tulsa or a med spa in Phoenix, the owner often isn't there to reveal.
Team pricing: where the bill grows
Seat pricing is the part most agencies underestimate. Here's the same 5-person team on monthly billing:
| Apollo Basic | Apollo Professional | Coldlytics Growth | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price for 5 users | $325 a month (5 × $65) | $495 a month (5 × $99) | $99 a month (5 seats included) |
| Credits | 12,500 a month | 20,000 a month | 750 a month, rolling over |
| Unused credits | Expire | Expire | Roll over while subscribed |
Apollo gives you far more credits per dollar. Coldlytics gives you far fewer, but doesn't charge per head and doesn't take unused credits back. Which matters more depends on whether your bottleneck is volume or finding the right owners in the first place.
When Apollo is the right call
I'll be straight: for plenty of teams, Apollo is great value.
- You sell to tech companies, SaaS or the mid-market. That's where its data is deepest.
- You want one tool for data and sending. Sequences, a dialer, a meeting scheduler and a CRM sync all come in the same login.
- You'll use your credits every month. High-volume outbound teams get the best per-contact price.
- Your reps live in Gmail and Salesforce. Every plan includes Apollo's prospecting, Gmail and Salesforce extensions.
When it isn't
- Your buyers are local business owners. Plumbers, roofers, dentists, chiropractors, salons and restaurants are thin in the big enterprise databases. The decision maker is usually the owner, and the owner is often missing.
- Your usage is lumpy. Agencies prospect in bursts for new clients. Credits that vanish at month end punish that.
- You're a small team that shares a tool. Paying per seat for occasional users adds up quickly.
- You need phone numbers on most contacts. At 8 credits a number, phone-first outreach eats the allocation fast.
Apollo vs Coldlytics on pricing
Coldlytics is built for the opposite end of the market: Main Street. Here's how the pricing compares, side by side.
| Apollo.io | Coldlytics | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry paid plan | $49 per seat per month (annual) or $65 (monthly) | $49 a month, 250 credits, 2 seats included |
| Billing | Monthly or annual (Organization is annual only) | Monthly only, no annual commitment |
| Verified email | 1 credit | 1 credit, only charged if the email is valid |
| Phone number | 8 credits | 1 credit per direct dial |
| Unused credits | Expire each cycle | Roll over every month while subscribed |
| Seats | Paid per seat | Included (2 on Starter, 5 on Growth, 10 on Pro), extra seats $19 a month |
| When the database runs out | You're done | Human researchers build the list, 5 credits per contact, up to 1,000 leads within 24 hours on business days |
| Data focus | 240M contacts, 30M companies, strong in tech and mid-market | 10M+ small businesses, 9 in 10 contacts are owners or decision-makers |
| Free plan | 75 credits a month | 25 credits a month, forever, no card |
Coldlytics plans are $49 (Starter, 250 credits), $99 (Growth, 750 credits) and $299 (Pro, 2,500 credits), with a custom Agency plan for pooled credits and dedicated research capacity.
The honest summary: Apollo is cheaper per raw email if you sell to tech companies and use every credit. Coldlytics is cheaper per usable owner if you sell to local businesses, because the owners are actually there, phone numbers cost 1 credit instead of 8, and your credits don't disappear at the end of the month.
How to keep your Apollo bill down
If Apollo is the right fit, these habits stop the bill creeping up:
1Step 1: Pick monthly billing until you know your usage
Annual saves 24% on the headline price, but you commit for 12 months and switching back to monthly means waiting for the annual term to end. Run a month or two on monthly billing first.
2Step 2: Reveal emails before phones
An email is 1 credit and a phone is 8. Email first, then pay for numbers only on contacts who engage.
3Step 3: Set per-user credit caps
Credits are pooled. One enthusiastic rep can drain the team's month in a week. Caps live under team management settings.
4Step 4: Spend credits before the cycle resets
Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, add-on credits included. Check Settings, then Credit usage, a week before renewal.
5Step 5: Send from inside Apollo if you want bounce refunds
Apollo only refunds credits for bounced verified emails sent from Apollo within 30 days.
