What's New in Coldlytics: People Search, Smarter Filters and One-Click Sends
What we shipped since August: People Search, 325 business categories, Google review and ZIP filters, sends to Instantly and Clay, and MCP.

Until now, Voyager DB found you companies and you worked out who to contact. The new People tab turns that around.
It's the headline of six busy weeks. Alongside it we shipped filters the big databases don't have, one-click sends to your outreach tools, self-serve suppression and lead flagging, and a way to use Coldlytics straight from Claude and ChatGPT. Most of the effort went into data quality, because every improvement to how we find, verify and clean a contact is worth more to you than any new screen.
Here's everything, in one place.
People Search: find the person, not just the company
Search the people we already hold, using every company filter you already know. Then narrow by job title keywords, department, seniority (Owners & Founders, Directors & Executives, Middle Management, Staff) or the contact data on file, such as a direct dial or a LinkedIn profile.
Every result is a named person with a revealable, verified email. Reveal an email or direct dial right from the results.
Why agencies care: you go from "plumbing companies in Austin" to "the owners of plumbing companies in Austin" in one step.
Try it: HVAC contractors in Texas with 10+ employees, switch to People, set seniority to Owners & Founders, reveal.

Contacts per Company: one decision-maker per business
Cap how many people each business can list, from 1 to 50, most senior first. Set it to 1 and a search of 2,000 companies gives you 2,000 people to reach, not a pile of duplicates. Branches of one business count as the same company, and people at a branch now show that branch's own name.
The same person filters now work on your Contacts page too, and sends of everything matching a filter are no longer capped at 5,000.
Why agencies care: clean sequences. One owner per company, and no two colleagues comparing notes on the same cold email.
Every email and direct dial, now 1 credit each
Each contact now shows every email and direct dial we hold for them: in Contacts, in exports and in Voyager DB. Already own the contact? Reveal any extra email or dial for 1 credit each.
Adding a direct dial to an instant reveal now costs 1 credit, the same as an email. A verified email plus a direct dial is 2 credits.
Why agencies care: a second email or a mobile number for a contact you already paid for, without re-researching, and phone-first outreach just got a lot cheaper.
Business categories: 325 categories in 20 groups
Every company is classified into one of 325 categories, organized under 20 groups like Home Services & Trades, Medical & Dental, Legal and Restaurants & Food. Include or exclude whole groups or single trades. Every company profile shows its categories, so you can pivot to its peers in one click, and there's a Categories column in results and CSV exports.
Why agencies care: "plumbers", "plumbing contractor" and "plumbing company" are one category, not three keyword guesses. Exclude is just as useful: include Medical & Dental, exclude Veterinary.

Residential, commercial or both
Home services and trades (plumbing, roofing, HVAC, cleaning, construction and more) now carry a customer type read from each company's website. Filter for it on the Companies or People tab, add the Customer Type column to results and exports. Research tasks can target residential or commercial trades the same way.
Why agencies care: a commercial cleaning supplier doesn't want residential maids, and a client selling to property managers doesn't want contractors who only serve homes.
Try it: roofing companies in Florida, commercial only.

Send contacts to Instantly, Smartlead, lemlist and Clay

Connect your outreach tool with an API key, then send contacts straight into a campaign from the Contacts page, or into a Clay table as new rows. These join our HighLevel integration (and HubSpot for connected accounts). Every push shows up in Sync History with created, updated, skipped and failed counts. Smartlead needs their Pro plan or higher.
Why agencies care: search, reveal, send, all in one place. Pair it with Contacts per Company set to 1 to push exactly one person per business. No CSV round trips.
Suppression lists you manage yourself

Paste or upload a CSV of emails and domains in Settings, up to 500,000 entries. Research tasks and the Voyager DB dedupe filter leave them out, and each task can carry its own list of up to 100,000. It's in the API and MCP too. No Google Sheets to share.
Why agencies care: keep existing client lists and do-not-contact files out of every new list, so you never pay for or email a company you already have.
Use Coldlytics from Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants

Coldlytics is now an MCP server. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor and ask in plain English:
- "Find the owners of plumbing companies in Austin."
- "Reveal the top ten."
- "Launch a research task for these 40 domains."
Your assistant can search companies and people, look up a company by domain, find and verify one person's email, reveal emails and direct dials, manage your suppression list and launch research tasks. Anything that spends credits asks first, and everything lands in your Contacts as usual. Developers get a new public REST API with named, scoped keys and full docs at api.coldlytics.com/docs.
Why agencies care: your AI assistant gets a real database behind it, instead of guessing at company lists from web search.
Good to know: research tasks through the API or MCP need a paid plan, and reveals and research in ChatGPT need a Business or Enterprise workspace. Connect at https://mcp.coldlytics.com/mcp.
More improvements
A lot more shipped alongside the headline features. Here's the rest, filters first.
Google review count and rating
Filter by Google review count and rating range (1.0 to 5.0 stars) for the listing in the area you searched, on the Companies and People tabs. Review scores now show as stars in your results.
Why agencies care: few reviews or a low score is a common sign a business needs marketing help. Agencies have asked for this for years. It works the other way too: 200+ reviews and 4.8 stars points to an established, healthy business.
Try it: dentists in Phoenix with under 20 reviews.
Any headcount or revenue range, with exact minimums
Type 20 to 100 employees or 1.5m in revenue instead of picking from fixed steps. Shorthand like "500k" and "2.5m" works, in Voyager DB, Contacts and task creation.
Minimums are now exact, too. A minimum only returns companies whose figure is on file and meets it, so a "20+ employees" list now means 20+ employees. Maximums still include companies we couldn't size.
Why agencies care: your client's ICP isn't "11 to 50". It's "15 to 40".
ZIP and postal codes
Paste a list of ZIP or postal codes into the Location filter (commas, spaces or new lines), or a range like 11933-11978. Codes match as prefixes, so "70809" also catches ZIP+4 and "SW1A" matches UK postcodes. It works in company and people searches, Contacts, and research tasks launched from a search.
Why agencies care: client territories and franchise areas are drawn in ZIP codes, not radius circles.
TikTok advertisers
Research tasks can now filter by whether a company runs TikTok ads, alongside Facebook, Google and LinkedIn. The API and MCP search tools accept the same four ad pixels.
Why agencies care: a business running TikTok ads is already spending on growth and is comfortable with video. That's a strong signal for creative and paid social agencies.
Flag leads that aren't right
Select contacts and flag them if an email bounced, the person moved on, the lead doesn't match your targeting, the phone is wrong, or it's a duplicate. We review every request and return credits for leads that weren't up to standard. It works for 30 days from the day a lead is added.
Why agencies care: the Bounce-Free Guarantee and mistargeting credit-backs are now self-serve, not a screenshot in chat.
Reveal your whole search, and watch it happen
Instant reveals now cover every company matching your search, and a single run is no longer limited in size. A small corner panel shows progress from anywhere in the app, you can cancel any time, and contacts land in your Contacts as they arrive. A new Reveals page keeps the history of every run.
Why agencies care: build a full campaign list in one run. You still only pay for verified valid emails, catch-alls and contacts you already own land free, and the dialog quotes the maximum cost before you commit.
Coldlytics works on your phone
Every page now fits a phone screen. Log in, search Voyager DB, open filters, reveal contacts, check tasks and manage billing. Tables scroll sideways.
Why agencies care: check a research task or reveal a contact between client meetings.
Cleaner company and contact names
Company names now show the name a business trades under, without legal suffixes or the extra wording businesses add to their Google listing. Contact names and job titles are tidied the same way.
Why agencies care: mail merge that doesn't look like mail merge.
Filters always in view, applied as you go
Filters now sit in a resizable column on the left, visible on every screen size, and changes apply on their own with no Apply button. Technologies, ad pixels and social profiles use the same include or exclude picker as categories.
Why agencies care: faster list building, and it's the frame every new filter sits in.
A faster database
We also completed a major database upgrade, so searches, reveals and exports are noticeably quicker.
What's next
We've massively ramped up our fleet of web crawlers, and we're working on spotting more signals across the database. Turning those into opportunities you can act on is what we're working hardest on next. Watch this space.
